Job Title: HR Manager

Purpose of the Role:
The Human Resources Manager will serve as a strategic partner to the management team at Isanti Glass manufacturing plant, providing HR expertise and leadership in areas such as talent management, employee relations, payroll management, performance management, people and organizational development. The HR Manager will work closely with plant leadership to ensure the alignment of HR initiatives with business objectives, fostering a high-performance culture and a positive work environment
Key Performance Areas:
Strategic HR Planning:
- Collaborate with plant leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that support the plant’s business goals.
- Analyze workforce trends and metrics to provide insights and recommendations for improvemen
Talent Management:
- Lead the recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes for plant positions
- Develop and implement talent development programs, including training, career development, and succession planning
- Promote diversity and inclusion initiatives within the plant
Employee Relations:
- Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and management on HR-related matters
- Handle employee concerns and conflicts, conducting thorough investigations and ensuring fair resolutions
- Foster a positive work environment through effective communication and engagement initiatives
- Manage union partnerships
Performance Management:
- Guide managers in setting performance goals, conducting evaluations, and providing constructive feedback.
- Support the development and implementation of performance improvement plans.
- Facilitate recognition and reward programs to motivate and retain high-performing employees
Compliance and Policies:
- Ensure compliance with all and Labour laws and regulations.
- Develop, implement, and enforce HR policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to HR standards and best practices
Organizational Development:
- Support organizational change initiatives, including restructuring
- Conduct organizational assessments to identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions
- Facilitate team-building activities and workshops to enhance collaboration and productivity
HR Administration:
- Oversee HR administrative functions, including payroll, benefits administration, and record-keeping
- Manage HR budgets and resources efficiently
- Utilize HRIS and other technology tools to streamline HR processes and improve data management
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or industrial psychology
- Post graduate Diploma in Labour Law
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR Manager, with a focus on Employee Relations, Talent Management, People and Organizational Development
- Experience in Lean manufacturing environment is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, and dispute resolution experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite
