Job Title: Business Development Manager
Grade: FT 07
Purpose of the role:
To identify growth opportunities, acquire new clients, expand into new markets, and develop strategic partnerships to drive sales and increase the company’s market presence
Key Performance Areas:
- Successfully secure new contracts and onboarding new clients in targeted markets or sectors
- Meet or exceed sales and revenue targets through new business ventures and client accounts
- Conduct thorough market research and developing a strategic plan to identify and enter new markets or segments
- Establish and maintain partnerships that enhance the company’s capabilities, distribution channels, or market reach
- Identifying and proposing new product offerings or innovations that align with market trends and customer demands
- Create and manage a robust sales pipeline that ensures sustained growth, with regular reporting on potential leads, prospects, and conversion rates.

- Regular analysis of competitors’ activities and positioning to adjust business strategies and stay competitive.
- Regular reporting to leadership on progress against key performance indicators (KPIs) and strategic goals.

- Proficiency in identifying leads, closing deals, and negotiating contracts to secure favourable terms
- In-depth understanding of the glass packaging industry, including key markets, customer needs, and product applications
- Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders
- Effective verbal and written communication to present ideas, proposals, and reports clearly and persuasively
- Capability to assess market data, financial reports, and business opportunities to make informed decisions

Qualifications & Experience:
- A relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- At least 3 years Business Development Management experience
- Manufacturing Experience
- Relevant certifications or additional training in sales will be beneficial
- Glass experience will be an advantage
