The glass manufacturing process involves critical steps, using the highest grade of raw materials to ensure high quality final glass packaging for brand owners.
Production begins with the careful selection and preparation of raw materials, which typically include silica sand, soda ash, limestone, and other additives. These materials are batched according to specific formulas to achieve the desired glass properties.
The raw materials are fed carefully into the glass furnaces, where they are subjected to intense heat. The furnaces reach extremely high temperatures, causing the raw materials to melt and form a molten glass mixture. The three glass furnaces maintain stable and controlled melting conditions, ensuring consistent glass quality.
Once the raw materials have melted, the molten glass undergoes a refining process to eliminate impurities and enhance its clarity and homogeneity. In the refiner, the molten glass is heat conditioned for delivery to the forming process. This step helps to achieve the desired physical and chemical properties of the glass.
The molten glass is then directed through various forming processes, depending on the specific product being manufactured. We employ advanced machinery and skilled artisans to shape and manipulate the molten glass into glass packaging such as food jars, returnable and non-returnable bottles for the beverage industry.
After forming, the newly shaped glass products undergo controlled cooling and annealing processes to relieve internal stresses and improve their strength and durability. This step is essential to ensure that the glass products have the desired properties and can withstand the rigors of everyday use. Any damaged or undesirable glass is transferred back to the batch plant to be used as cullet.
